Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation facilities will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present any other kind of private health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may want to investigate the self pay option and drum up any resources they're able to to cover a more quality rehab center which will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab facility.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. When someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could qualify for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only within the state which offers the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some sort of alcohol and drug treatment service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment programs. Individuals might have to take part in an alcohol and drug treatment center that's in their network of providers and there might be other restrictions for example just how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select an excellent program they like and meet with a rehabilitation specialist to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular drug abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities along with partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some restrictions concerning how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehab is allowed, and every one of these questions can be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it is clear just how long and individual can remain in the rehab center of preference.
