Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehab solutions in terms of level of care, as the individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in many ways with no commitment of needing to remain in a treatment facility while receiving rehab services. While this may seem ideal it will not provide the much needed change of surroundings than many individuals in rehabilitation need to experience a productive rehab.

Criminal Justice Clients

Criminal justice clients find their way into rehabilitation as part of a court order to satisfy part of their sentencing for a drug offense. Criminal justice clients in alcohol and drug treatment often receive reduced penalties, fines etc. when being cooperative with drug and alcohol treatment requirements enforced with them in sentencing especially naturally when successfully completing a drug rehabilitation program.

Spanish

Not all drug treatment programs have the staff or wherewithal to focus on the requirements of Spanish speaking clientele, but luckily there are more and more programs that can do so because the necessity for Spanish services is higher than ever before. Counselling, study data and stuff like that are now very often available in Spanish in both short and long terms programs which provide inpatient or residential rehabilitation and outpatient Spanish rehabilitation is available too around the country.

Medicaid

Some rehab facilities will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present some other form of private health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals may want to investigate the self pay option and drum up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality rehab facility which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at alcohol and drug treatment programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in establishing the individual's treatment plan. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some sort of drug treatment service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol treatment program that is in their network of providers and there could be other limitations like the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select a good program they like and speak with a rehabilitation specialist to ascertain if their insurance will handle it.
