Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody that has to be safely managed through detox services when seriously dependent to drugs and/or alcohol, or who requires a better spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health services as part of their treatment procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehab services regarding intensity of care, because the individual is able to preserve their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of having to stay in a rehabilitation center while undergoing treatment services. Even though this might seem perfect it might not provide the much needed change of surroundings than a lot of people in recovery have to have to have a successful rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of this issue can be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and other assistance services available for them when substance abuse treatment is necessary. Aside from ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired folks are receiving the help they require in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but people really have a much more leverage because they can select whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many individuals encounter. Likewise, rehab facilities will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some treatment programs accept Medicaid when the individual cannot self pay or present any other form of private health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may choose to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality rehabilitation facility that will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug rehab facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in establishing the person's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being just like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug and alcohol rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not an option. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could be eligible for state insurance, they can talk with their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but usually only within the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some sort of drug rehab service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities. Individuals could possibly have to take part in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program which is in their network of providers and there can be other limitations such as just how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent center they like and consult with a rehabilitation specialist to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain substance abuse rehab solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities and also partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some limitations as to the length of time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it is clear the length of time and individual can remain in the treatment facility of choice.
