Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody that should be safely managed through detox services when heavily dependent to drugs and alcohol, or who requires a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services as part of their rehabilitation process. You'll find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of treatment services in terms of level of care, as the individual can maintain their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of having to stay in a treatment facility while undergoing rehabilitation services. While this may appear perfect it may not provide the required change of surroundings than many individuals in recovery require to experience a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse due to problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of the problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL as well as other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse rehab is needed. Other than ASL, such services may include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are obtaining the support they need in alcohol and drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance isn't going to cover the total cost of treatment or will only pay for part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but individuals actually have a much more leverage because they can decide on whichever program they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many people face. Likewise, treatment programs will usually provide payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some treatment centers will take Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present some other type of private health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may choose to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they can to pay for a more quality treatment facility which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at drug rehab programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in setting up the individual's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a choice. If someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but usually only in the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some kind of drug and alcohol treatment service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab programs. Individuals could have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehab center that's in their network of providers and there can be other restrictions such as just how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent facility they like and meet with a treatment specialist to ascertain if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular drug abuse rehab services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient programs and also partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some restrictions regarding the length of time a stay in inpatient drug treatment is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered before beginning treatment so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the rehabilitation facility of preference.
