Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody that must be safely managed through detox services when heavily dependent to drugs, or who requires a better spectrum of care such as someone who is dealing with a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health services during their rehab process. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the total cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a drawback but individuals in fact have a much more leverage because they can decide on whichever program they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many men and women encounter. In addition, rehab facilities will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehab centers will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present any other form of private medical insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of centers, and in this instance individuals may choose to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation facility that will get better results, like a long-term residential drug rehab program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at alcohol and drug rehab programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in establishing the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they may be eligible for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only in the state which provides the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some sort of drug treatment service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs. Individuals may have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehab program which is in their network of providers and there might be other limitations such as just how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent program they like and consult with a treatment counselor to determine if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain drug abuse rehab solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions about how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehab is permitted, and every one of these questions will be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it's clear how long and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of preference.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance option available from a number of alcohol and drug rehab facilities to help help clients pay for rehabilitation where this may not have been doable initially. As an example, one client's fee for treatment could be different and less than someone else whose financial situation is better making them better able to spend the money for full cost of treatment. Registrars consider additional factors apart from income including amount of dependents to ascertain the ultimate cost and using the sliding scale.
