Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody that must be safely managed through detoxification services when seriously dependent to drugs and/or alcohol, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health services as part of their treatment process. You'll find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehab solutions in terms of level of care, because the individual is able to keep their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of having to be in a treatment program while receiving rehab services. Even though this may appear ideal it might not provide the much needed change of environment than many people in rehabilitation need to have a productive rehabilitation.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who have a problem with substance abuse could possibly have unique obstacles they must overcome during rehabilitation, which rehabilitation specialists within the center they opt to be a part of have to be keen of to ensure a complete recovery may be possible. So for seniors and older adults, it is prudent to select a rehab that is accustomed to helping seniors and older adults tackle the unique life and substance abuse problems that these clients face which may include a broader spectrum of solutions including health care and the like.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse as a result of problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of this problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you'll find ASL along with other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is required. Besides ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the support they need in drug treatment.

Spanish

Not all drug rehabilitation centers have the staff or wherewithal to cater to the needs of Spanish speaking clients, but thankfully there are more and more programs that will do so because the necessity for Spanish services is higher than in the past. Counselling, study information and the like are now frequently accessible in Spanish in both short and long terms centers which deliver inpatient or residential treatment and outpatient Spanish rehabilitation is available too nationwide.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance won't cover the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but people in fact have a much more leverage because they can select whichever facility they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many people face. Likewise, treatment centers will usually offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at alcohol and drug treatment facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in setting up the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a choice. If someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but generally only in the state which offers the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some sort of alcohol and drug treatment service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug rehab facilities. Individuals may have to participate in an alcohol and drug treatment program which is within their network of providers and there may be other restrictions such as just how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick a quality facility they prefer and consult with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular drug abuse rehabilitation services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs along with partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There might be some restrictions as to how much time a stay in inpatient drug rehab is allowed, and every one of these questions can be answered before you start rehabilitation so that it is clear just how long and individual can stay in the treatment center of choice.
