Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of treatment solutions with regards to intensity of care, because the individual will be able to preserve their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of needing to remain in a treatment center while undergoing rehab services. Even if this may seem ideal it will not provide the much needed change of atmosphere than many people in rehab require to experience a successful rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for part of it. In these situations, it may seem like a disadvantage but individuals actually have a much more leverage because they can choose whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many people encounter. Likewise, rehab centers will usually provide payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at alcohol and drug treatment centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help out with setting up the person's treatment plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug rehabilitation service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab centers. Individuals could have to take part in a drug rehab program that is inside their network of providers and there could be other limitations such as the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent center they prefer and consult with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular drug abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities and also partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some restrictions about how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehab is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered before you start rehabilitation so that it is clear the length of time and individual can stay in the treatment center of preference.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is a payment assistance possibility provided by a number of drug rehab facilities in an effort to help clients afford treatment where this may not have been possible originally. For example, one client's fee for rehab could possibly be different and someone else whose financial situation is better which makes them more prepared to spend the money for full expense of rehab. Registrars take into consideration variables besides income including number of dependents to determine the final cost and using the sliding scale.
