Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions in terms of level of care, since the individual will be able to maintain their lifestyle in many ways with no commitment of having to stay in a rehabilitation facility while undergoing rehabilitation services. Even though this may seem ideal it will not provide the much needed change of surroundings than a lot of people in rehab need to experience a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug abuse due to the problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of this issue can often be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL and other assistance services available for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is necessary. Besides ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are getting the help they need in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of treatment or will only pay for part of it. In these instances, it may seem like a drawback but individuals really have a much more leverage simply because they can decide on whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals face. Likewise, rehab facilities will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehab programs accept Medicaid when the individual cannot self pay or present another type of private health care insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehab in a limited amount of facilities, and in cases like this individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and drum up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality rehabilitation center which will get better results, say for example a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug rehab programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the program is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in establishing the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could qualify for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but generally only in the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some type of alcohol and drug rehab service which range from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers. Individuals could have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that's within their network of providers and there might be other limitations like just how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent center they prefer and consult with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain substance abuse rehab services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There can be some restrictions as to the length of time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered before beginning treatment so that it's clear just how long and individual can remain in the rehab facility of preference.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance option provided by many different drug and alcohol rehab centers to help help clients afford treatment where this may not have been possible originally. For example, one client's price for rehabilitation could be different and lower than someone else whose finances are better which makes them more prepared to spend the money for full price of rehab. Registrars take into account additional circumstances in addition to income including amount of dependents to determine the final cost using the sliding scale.
