Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of treatment services with regards to level of care, as the individual will be able to maintain their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of needing to be in a treatment program while receiving treatment services. Even though this may appear ideal it will not provide the much needed change of environment than many people in rehabilitation require to experience a productive rehabilitation.

Spanish

Not all drug and alcohol rehab centers have the staff or resources to focus on the needs of Spanish speaking clientele, but thankfully there are more and more facilities that can do so because the need for Spanish services is higher than in the past. Therapy, study information and stuff like that are now very often accessible in Spanish in both short and long terms centers which provide inpatient or residential rehabilitation and outpatient Spanish rehab is available too nationwide.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't cover the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover some of it. In these situations, it may appear like a drawback but individuals in fact have a much more leverage due to the fact they can select whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many people encounter. Likewise, rehab facilities will usually offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some treatment programs will take Medicaid when the individual is unable to self pay or present any other form of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of programs, and in this case individuals might want to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment program that will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug rehab programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in setting up the individual's treatment strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being just like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not an option. If someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may be eligible for state insurance, they can talk with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only within the state which offers the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment centers. Individuals could possibly have to participate in a drug rehabilitation program that's inside their network of providers and there could be other limitations including the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose a good facility they prefer and meet with a rehab specialist to find out if their insurance will cover it.
