Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions in terms of intensity of care, as the individual is able to keep their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of needing to be in a rehabilitation center while receiving treatment services. While this might seem perfect it will not provide the required change of atmosphere than a lot of people in treatment have to have to have a successful rehabilitation.

Criminal Justice Clients

Criminal justice clients find their way into rehabilitation due to a court order in order to meet part of their sentencing for any drug offense. Criminal justice clients in alcohol and drug rehabilitation often receive reduced sentences, fines etc. when cooperating with drug and alcohol rehabilitation specifications enforced on them as part of sentencing and also of course when successfully graduating an alcohol and drug rehab center.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and substance abuse as a result of problems that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the issue can be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL and also other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse rehab is needed. Besides ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are getting the support they require in alcohol and drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover some of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but individuals in fact have a much more leverage because they can decide on whichever facility they would like without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many people encounter. In addition, rehab facilities will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation centers accept Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present another form of private health insurance. Medicaid may possibly pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may choose to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they can to pay for a more quality treatment facility that will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help out with setting up the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. If someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could be eligible for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only inside the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment centers. Individuals could have to participate in an alcohol and drug treatment center which is in their network of providers and there may be other limitations like the length of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can select a good center they prefer and meet with a rehab specialist to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expense of certain substance abuse rehabilitation solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient programs in addition to partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There could be some restrictions about how long a stay in inpatient drug treatment is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered prior to starting treatment so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the rehabilitation facility of choice.
