Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody that should be safely managed through detoxification services when intensely addicted to drugs and alcohol, or who wants a better spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis so also needs mental health services as part of their treatment procedure. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehab or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a disadvantage but individuals actually have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many men and women encounter. In addition, rehabilitation centers will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs accept Medicaid in the event the individual is unable to self pay or present some other form of private health care insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of facilities, and in this instance individuals may choose to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation facility that will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at alcohol and drug rehab centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in setting up the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might qualify for state insurance, they can check with their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but generally only in the state which offers the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers. Individuals may have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility which is inside their network of providers and there may be other restrictions for example just how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose a quality center they like and consult with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular drug abuse treatment services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There might be some restrictions as to how long a stay in inpatient drug rehabilitation is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it's clear the length of time and individual can remain in the treatment facility of choice.
