Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehab solutions regarding level of care, since the individual is able to preserve their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of having to remain in a treatment facility while receiving treatment services. Even though this might seem ideal it might not provide the much needed change of atmosphere than many people in recovery require to have a successful rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use due to the problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can be difficult among the hearing impaired, there are ASL along with other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse rehabilitation is needed. Other than ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the help they require in drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may appear like a disadvantage but individuals really have a great deal of leverage simply because they can select whichever program they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals face. Likewise, rehabilitation centers will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation centers will take Medicaid in the event the individual cannot self pay or present some other type of private health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of centers, and in this instance individuals might want to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehabilitation center which will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the program is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in setting up the person's treatment strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might qualify for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only inside the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some type of drug rehab service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug treatment facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug rehabilitation facility that's inside their network of providers and there may be other restrictions such as the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select an excellent program they like and consult with a treatment counselor to determine if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular substance abuse rehab services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers and also partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some restrictions about the length of time a stay in inpatient drug rehab is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it's clear how long and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of choice.
