Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services with regards to intensity of care, as the individual can keep their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of needing to be in a rehabilitation center while undergoing rehabilitation services. Although this may seem ideal it might not provide the much needed change of surroundings than lots of people in rehabilitation need to have a productive rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use as a result of challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the issue can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL along with other assistance services intended for them when substance abuse rehabilitation is required. Besides ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the support they need in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance won't cover the total cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but individuals really have a much more leverage due to the fact they can choose whichever center they want without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many men and women face. In addition, treatment programs will usually offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers will take Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present another kind of private health care insurance. Medicaid may possibly cover outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may want to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality rehabilitation facility that will get better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help out with establishing the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. When someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they should consult their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only within the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some form of alcohol and drug treatment service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug rehab facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehab center that is inside their network of providers and there might be other limitations such as the length of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent program they like and meet with a rehab counselor to determine if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expense of certain drug abuse rehabilitation services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers in addition to partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some limitations regarding how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation is permitted, and all of these questions can be answered before you start rehabilitation so that it's clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation center of choice.
