You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of rehab services with regards to intensity of care, for the reason that individual can keep their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of having to stay in a rehab center while undergoing rehab services. Even though this may appear ideal it may not provide the much needed change of environment than many people in rehabilitation need to experience a successful rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the problems that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the issue can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and also other assistance services available for them when drug abuse treatment is required. Apart from ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are obtaining the support they need in alcohol and drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance won't pay for the entire cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but people in fact have a much more leverage due to the fact they can choose whichever facility they want without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many people face. In addition, rehabilitation centers will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some treatment centers will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present another form of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of facilities, and in this case individuals may wish to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality treatment facility which will get better results, like a long-term residential drug treatment program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at drug and alcohol treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in setting up the person's treatment strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may be eligible for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but generally only within the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some kind of drug treatment service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab programs. Individuals may have to take part in a drug and alcohol treatment center which is within their network of providers and there could be other restrictions such as just how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can select an excellent facility they like and speak with a rehab specialist to find out if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expense of particular substance abuse rehab solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities in addition to partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some limitations about how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered before you start rehabilitation so that it's clear just how long and individual can remain in the rehabilitation center of preference.
