Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone that needs to be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily addicted to alcohol and drugs, or who wants a better spectrum of care such as someone who is dealing with a dual diagnosis so also needs mental health solutions during their rehabilitation process. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and substance abuse because of the challenges that their impairment impose on them. While detection of this issue can be difficult among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL as well as other assistance services available for them when drug abuse rehab is needed. Other than ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the help they require in drug and alcohol treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to cover the total cost of rehab or will only cover some of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but individuals really have a much more leverage due to the fact they can decide on whichever program they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, rehab facilities will frequently offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers accept Medicaid in the event the individual is not able to self pay or present another type of private medical health insurance. Medicaid may possibly cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may want to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehab facility that will produce better results, like a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at drug rehab programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in establishing the individual's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of drug and alcohol rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might qualify for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some type of alcohol and drug rehab service which range from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab programs. Individuals may have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehab facility that's inside their network of providers and there can be other limitations including the amount of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick a good program they prefer and meet with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse rehabilitation services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers in addition to partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There might be some restrictions as to how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before you start treatment so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the rehab center of preference.
