Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody who has to be safely managed through detoxification services when intensely dependent to drugs and alcohol, or who wants a better spectrum of care such as someone who is dealing with a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health solutions during their treatment process. You'll find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of treatment solutions in terms of level of care, as the individual can maintain their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of having to remain in a rehab center while undergoing rehabilitation services. Even though this may seem perfect it may not provide the much needed change of surroundings than lots of people in rehabilitation require to have a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse due to problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of this problem can be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services designed for them when drug abuse rehab is necessary. Besides ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are receiving the support they require in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a disadvantage but people in fact have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever center they want without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many people face. Likewise, rehabilitation programs will often offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Certain rehab centers will take Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present another kind of private health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation center which will get better results, say for example a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in setting up the individual's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug rehab service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment centers. Individuals may have to participate in a drug rehab center that's within their network of providers and there may be other limitations like the length of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick a good program they like and speak with a treatment specialist to ascertain if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain substance abuse rehabilitation services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers as well as partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some restrictions regarding how long a stay in inpatient drug rehabilitation is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting treatment so that it's clear just how long and individual can remain in the treatment program of choice.
