Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody who needs to be safely managed through detox services when intensely addicted to drugs and alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health solutions as part of their treatment process. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse because of the challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this problem can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is necessary. Apart from ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are getting the help they require in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the total cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but individuals in fact have a much more leverage due to the fact they can choose whichever center they would like without the limitations from health insurers that so many men and women face. In addition, rehabilitation centers will frequently offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present any other kind of private health insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they are able to to pay for a more quality rehab center that will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at alcohol and drug rehab centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in setting up the person's rehab strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't an option. When someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but usually only within the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug rehab programs. Individuals might have to participate in a drug rehabilitation program that is inside their network of providers and there may be other restrictions such as how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent facility they prefer and meet with a rehab specialist to determine if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain substance abuse treatment solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers and also partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some restrictions about just how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered before you start rehabilitation so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the treatment center of preference.
