Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone who should be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily dependent to drugs and/or alcohol, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services during their treatment process. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions in terms of level of care, for the reason that individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of needing to remain in a rehab center while undergoing rehabilitation services. Although this may seem ideal it might not provide the much needed change of surroundings than a lot of people in rehab need to experience a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use due to challenges that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you'll find ASL as well as other assistance services available for them when drug abuse rehab is required. Aside from ASL, such services might include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the help they need in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a drawback but individuals really have a great deal of leverage simply because they can decide on whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many people face. In addition, rehabilitation facilities will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehab programs will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present any other form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals might want to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment program which will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug and alcohol treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in establishing the person's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being similar to any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. If someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only inside the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug treatment facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol treatment program which is within their network of providers and there could be other restrictions such as the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select a good facility they like and meet with a rehab specialist to find out if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular substance abuse rehab services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers in addition to partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There could be some restrictions as to just how long a stay in inpatient drug rehabilitation is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered before beginning rehab so that it is clear the length of time and individual can stay in the rehabilitation center of choice.
