Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services in terms of level of care, since the individual will be able to maintain their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of having to stay in a rehab center while receiving treatment services. While this might appear perfect it may not provide the much needed change of surroundings than many people in recovery need to experience a successful rehabilitation.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who battle with drug abuse could have unique obstacles they must conquer during rehabilitation, which rehab professionals within the program they opt to be a part of should be keen of so that a full recovery may be possible. So for seniors and older adults, it is advisable to choose a program that is familiar with helping seniors and older adults tackle the unique life and substance abuse issues that these clients face that might include a wider spectrum of services including medical treatment and the like.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the problem can often be difficult among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and other assistance services available for them when substance abuse treatment is necessary. Apart from ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired people are receiving the support they require in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehab or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but individuals actually have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever center they want without the restrictions from health insurers that so many men and women face. Likewise, treatment programs will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation facilities accept Medicaid in the event the individual cannot self pay or present some other form of private health insurance. Medicaid may possibly pay for outpatient and short-term rehab in a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may wish to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to cover a more quality rehabilitation facility which will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug rehab programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in setting up the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some kind of drug rehab service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to take part in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which is within their network of providers and there may be other limitations such as the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can select an excellent center they like and speak with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain drug abuse treatment solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers along with partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There can be some limitations concerning just how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehab is permitted, and all of these questions can be answered prior to starting treatment so that it is clear how much time and individual can stay in the rehab program of preference.
