Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of treatment services in terms of level of care, since the individual can preserve their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of having to remain in a treatment facility while receiving rehabilitation services. While this may appear perfect it may not provide the much needed change of environment than many individuals in rehab have to have to experience a productive rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse because of the problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of the problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and other assistance services available for them when drug abuse rehab is necessary. Besides ASL, such services might include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are obtaining the support they need in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Spanish

Not all alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers possess the staff or wherewithal to cater to the needs of Spanish speaking clients, but fortunately there are more and more programs that are able to do so because the necessity for Spanish services is higher than in the past. Therapy, study data and the like are now frequently accessible in Spanish in both long and short terms facilities which provide inpatient or residential rehab and outpatient Spanish rehab is also available around the country.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may appear like a drawback but individuals really have a great deal of leverage due to the fact they can choose whichever program they would like without the limitations from health insurers that so many people encounter. In addition, treatment centers will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation centers accept Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present another type of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehabilitation facility that will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in establishing the individual's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. If someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could qualify for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but typically only within the state which provides the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some form of drug rehab service including outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to take part in a drug rehab program that is in their network of providers and there can be other limitations such as how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick a quality center they like and meet with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse treatment solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities in addition to partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There might be some limitations regarding the length of time a stay in inpatient drug rehab is allowed, and all of these questions can be answered before you begin rehab so that it's clear the length of time and individual can remain in the rehab facility of preference.
