Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of treatment services in terms of level of care, because the individual is able to keep their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of needing to remain in a treatment center while undergoing rehab services. Even if this might seem perfect it might not provide the required change of environment than lots of people in recovery require to experience a successful rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug abuse due to problems their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and also other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse treatment is needed. Other than ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired folks are getting the help they need in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the total cost of rehab or will only cover some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but people really have a much more leverage simply because they can choose whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. Likewise, rehab facilities will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some treatment centers accept Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present some other type of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of programs, and in this case individuals may choose to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to cover a more quality rehab facility which will get better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at drug treatment facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in establishing the individual's treatment plan. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. When someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they may be eligible for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but usually only within the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some kind of drug rehabilitation service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab centers. Individuals may have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehab program that is within their network of providers and there can be other restrictions like just how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick a good facility they like and consult with a rehabilitation counselor to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain substance abuse treatment solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs as well as partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some limitations as to how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation is permitted, and all of these questions can be answered before you start treatment so that it is clear how long and individual can stay in the rehabilitation program of choice.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is a payment assistance option made available from many different alcohol and drug treatment facilities to help help individuals pay for rehabilitation where this might not have been possible originally. As an example, one client's fee for rehabilitation might be different and less than somebody else whose finances are better which makes them more prepared to pay for the full cost of rehabilitation. Registrars consider additional factors aside from income including number of dependents to determine the ultimate cost and using the sliding scale.
