Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services with regards to level of care, as the individual will be able to maintain their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of having to stay in a rehabilitation program while undergoing treatment services. Although this might appear perfect it might not provide the required change of atmosphere than a lot of people in rehab need to have a productive rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the challenges that their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can often be hard among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services readily available for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is needed. Apart from ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired folks are getting the help they require in alcohol and drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't pay for the entire cost of treatment or will only cover some of it. In these cases, it may seem like a disadvantage but individuals actually have a much more leverage simply because they can choose whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many men and women face. In addition, treatment programs will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers will take Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present another type of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may choose to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment facility which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehab center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at alcohol and drug rehab centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in establishing the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug and alcohol rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. If someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may be eligible for state insurance, they can check with their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but typically only within the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some sort of alcohol and drug rehab service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug treatment centers. Individuals might have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that's in their network of providers and there may be other restrictions such as the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can select an excellent facility they like and consult with a treatment specialist to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the costs of particular drug abuse rehab solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities along with partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There might be some limitations about how long a stay in inpatient drug treatment is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting treatment so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the rehabilitation facility of choice.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance possibility made available from many different alcohol and drug treatment centers in an effort to help clients pay for rehabilitation where this might not have been possible originally. For example, one client's fee for rehabilitation could be different and less than somebody else whose finances are better which makes them better able to spend the money for full expense of treatment. Registrars consider additional circumstances besides income including amount of dependents to determine the final cost and using the sliding scale.
