There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who struggle with substance abuse may have unique obstacles they have to conquer while in rehab, which rehabilitation specialists in the rehab they opt to be a part of must be keen of so that a full recovery is possible. So for seniors and older adults, it is wise to decide on a center that is acquainted with helping seniors and older adults address the distinctive life and substance abuse problems that these clients face which might include a wider spectrum of solutions including medical care and so on.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the challenges that their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue is often difficult among the hearing impaired, there are ASL along with other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse rehab is needed. Aside from ASL, such services may include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the help they require in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance won't cover the total cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but individuals really have a great deal of leverage simply because they can select whichever center they want without the restrictions from health insurers that so many men and women face. In addition, rehabilitation programs will often offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug and alcohol rehab programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in establishing the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not an option. If a person does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could be eligible for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but generally only inside the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some type of alcohol and drug rehab service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities. Individuals might have to participate in a drug rehabilitation center that's inside their network of providers and there might be other limitations including the length of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent program they prefer and consult with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse rehab solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs in addition to partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There could be some limitations concerning just how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered before you start rehab so that it is clear just how long and individual can stay in the treatment program of choice.
