Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehab solutions with regards to level of care, because the individual is able to preserve their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of needing to stay in a rehabilitation facility while undergoing treatment services. Although this might seem perfect it may not provide the required change of surroundings than a lot of people in recovery require to have a productive rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and substance abuse because of the problems their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL along with other assistance services designed for them when drug abuse treatment is needed. Apart from ASL, such services might include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the help they need in drug and alcohol rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't pay for the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only cover some of it. In these cases, it may seem like a disadvantage but people actually have a great deal of leverage because they can decide on whichever program they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many individuals face. Likewise, rehabilitation programs will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation programs will take Medicaid when the individual cannot self pay or present some other form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of programs, and in this case individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehab center that will produce better results, like a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment facility.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of certain substance abuse rehab solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs as well as partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There can be some limitations as to the length of time a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation is allowed, and every one of these questions can be answered prior to starting treatment so that it's clear how long and individual can remain in the rehab center of choice.
