  • Circumstances such as lower income and marital rates, high jobless rates and having marijuana-using acquaintances during adolescence and young adulthood are commonly reported among recreational marijuana users.
  • THC in marijuana is rapidly absorbed by fatty tissues in various organs, and traces of the THC found in marijuana can be detected by standard urine testing methods several days after smoking the drug.

Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody who should be safely managed through detoxification services when seriously dependent to drugs and/or alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services as part of their rehabilitation process. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who battle with drug use may have distinctive challenges they must overcome whilst in rehabilitation, which rehabilitation professionals within the program they elect to be a part of must be keen of to ensure that a full recovery is possible. So for seniors and older adults, it is prudent to select a rehab that's familiar with helping seniors and older adults tackle the distinctive life and drug use issues that these clients face which might include a broader spectrum of services including medical care and so on.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse as a result of problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of this problem can be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL as well as other assistance services intended for them when substance abuse rehabilitation is necessary. Other than ASL, such services might include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are getting the help they need in drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance won't pay for the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a drawback but people actually have a great deal of leverage because they can decide on whichever center they would like without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many men and women encounter. In addition, rehab centers will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs accept Medicaid in the event the individual is not able to self pay or present another type of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals might want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality treatment program that will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in setting up the person's treatment strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug rehabilitation service including outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug rehabilitation centers. Individuals could have to participate in an alcohol and drug treatment center that's within their network of providers and there could be other limitations such as the amount of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick a quality center they like and consult with a rehab counselor to ascertain if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers as well as partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some restrictions regarding how much time a stay in inpatient drug treatment is permitted, and all of these questions can be answered before beginning rehabilitation so that it is clear how much time and individual can remain in the treatment program of preference.
