Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions in terms of level of care, as the individual can keep their lifestyle in many ways with no commitment of having to remain in a rehab center while receiving rehab services. Although this may seem perfect it may not provide the much needed change of atmosphere than a lot of people in rehabilitation require to experience a successful rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for part of it. In these situations, it may seem like a drawback but people actually have a much more leverage simply because they can choose whichever facility they would like without the limitations from health insurance companies that so many people face. Likewise, rehab centers will usually offer payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehab centers accept Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present any other form of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may want to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality treatment center which will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in setting up the person's treatment strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. If a person does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could be eligible for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but generally only within the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some sort of drug treatment service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals could have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehab center which is inside their network of providers and there can be other limitations including the length of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent center they like and speak with a rehabilitation counselor to find out if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expense of certain drug abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities in addition to partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There can be some limitations regarding the length of time a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before beginning rehabilitation so that it is clear the length of time and individual can stay in the rehab program of preference.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance option made available from a variety of alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs in an effort to help individuals pay for rehab where this might not have been possible initially. For instance, one client's fee for rehabilitation may be different and lower than somebody else whose finances are better making them better able to pay the full expense of rehab. Registrars consider additional circumstances apart from income including number of dependents to ascertain the ultimate cost and using the sliding scale.

Payment Assistance (Check With Facility For Details)

Many drug rehab centers provide payment assistance to help clients who may not have adequate money to self pay for rehab or whose medical insurance won't provide coverage or total coverage for his or her stay. For example, Occasionally insurance only covers a short-term center when in actuality a long-term program will probably be the more ideal choice. To find out what payment assistance can be available, like a sliding fee scale, check with the program for details.
