Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services with regards to level of care, as the individual will be able to maintain their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of needing to be in a rehab program while undergoing treatment services. Although this might appear perfect it may not provide the required change of atmosphere than many individuals in rehabilitation need to have a productive rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't cover the entire cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these cases, it may appear like a disadvantage but individuals in fact have a great deal of leverage because they can choose whichever facility they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many individuals face. In addition, rehabilitation programs will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Some rehab centers accept Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present any other kind of private medical insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and drum up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality rehabilitation program which will get better results, like a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab facility.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If a person doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could qualify for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some type of drug and alcohol treatment service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug rehabilitation program that's inside their network of providers and there may be other limitations for example the amount of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can select an excellent program they like and consult with a treatment counselor to determine if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of certain drug abuse rehabilitation solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers and also partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions as to just how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is allowed, and every one of these questions will be answered before you start rehabilitation so that it's clear how long and individual can remain in the rehabilitation center of preference.
