Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone who should be safely managed through detox services when seriously dependent to drugs and alcohol, or who requires a better spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis so also needs mental health solutions as part of their rehabilitation procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse because of the challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this issue can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL as well as other assistance services available for them when substance abuse treatment is needed. Aside from ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are obtaining the support they require in drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance won't cover the entire cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these situations, it may seem like a drawback but people really have a much more leverage because they can choose whichever program they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many men and women encounter. In addition, rehab facilities will frequently offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehab facilities accept Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present any other form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may choose to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality treatment program that will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at alcohol and drug treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in setting up the person's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a choice. When someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they can consult their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab facilities. Individuals could have to participate in a drug rehabilitation center that is within their network of providers and there may be other limitations for example the length of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent facility they like and meet with a rehabilitation counselor to find out if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the price of particular substance abuse rehabilitation solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers in addition to partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There can be some limitations concerning how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered before beginning rehabilitation so that it is clear just how long and individual can stay in the rehab facility of preference.
