Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anybody who must be safely managed through detox services when seriously addicted to alcohol and drugs, or who needs a broader spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis so also needs mental health solutions as part of their rehabilitation process. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the challenges their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this issue can be hard among the hearing impaired, there are ASL and also other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is needed. Aside from ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the help they require in drug and alcohol rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehab or will only cover some of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but individuals in fact have a great deal of leverage because they can choose whichever program they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many men and women encounter. In addition, rehab programs will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation facilities accept Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present another form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of facilities, and in this case individuals might want to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to pay for a more quality rehab center that will get better results, say for example a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in setting up the individual's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may qualify for state insurance, they can seek advice from their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but usually only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some type of drug rehabilitation service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab programs. Individuals may have to take part in a drug rehab program which is inside their network of providers and there might be other restrictions for example how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick a good program they prefer and speak with a rehabilitation counselor to ascertain if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain substance abuse rehab solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient programs and also partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some limitations regarding how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered before you begin rehabilitation so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the rehabilitation center of preference.
