Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of treatment solutions in terms of level of care, for the reason that individual is able to preserve their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of needing to stay in a rehabilitation program while undergoing rehab services. Even though this might appear ideal it might not provide the required change of atmosphere than many individuals in treatment need to have a successful rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehab facilities will take Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present some other form of private health care insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term treatment inside a limited amount of facilities, and in this case individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and drum up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality treatment center that will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug and alcohol treatment programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in establishing the individual's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some kind of drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment programs. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center which is within their network of providers and there might be other restrictions like the amount of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select a quality program they prefer and consult with a rehab counselor to ascertain if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain substance abuse rehab solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some limitations about how much time a stay in inpatient drug rehab is permitted, and every one of these questions will be answered before you begin rehabilitation so that it's clear how long and individual can remain in the rehab program of choice.
