Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehab solutions regarding intensity of care, because the individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of having to remain in a rehabilitation center while receiving rehab services. Even if this might seem ideal it may not provide the required change of environment than lots of people in treatment require to have a productive rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but individuals really have a much more leverage because they can select whichever program they want without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many people face. Likewise, rehabilitation facilities will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs accept Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present any other kind of private health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term treatment inside a limited amount of centers, and in cases like this individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality rehab facility that will produce better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug rehab programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help out with setting up the individual's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not an option. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but generally only in the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some form of drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol treatment program that is in their network of providers and there could be other restrictions for example how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can select an excellent center they prefer and speak with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance will take care of it.
