Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone who has to be safely managed through detox services when heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol, or who requires a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health solutions during their treatment process. You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use because of the problems their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this issue can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL along with other assistance services available for them when substance abuse treatment is required. Aside from ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the support they require in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but individuals in fact have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever center they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many individuals encounter. Likewise, rehabilitation programs will usually provide payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehab facilities accept Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present another type of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and come up with up any resources they can to fund a more quality rehab facility that will produce better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug treatment facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at drug and alcohol rehab programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in establishing the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only within the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment centers. Individuals might have to take part in a drug treatment center that's inside their network of providers and there can be other restrictions like just how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can choose a quality center they like and consult with a rehab specialist to find out if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain substance abuse rehab services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient programs as well as partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There might be some limitations concerning just how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting treatment so that it is clear how much time and individual can stay in the rehabilitation facility of choice.
