Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone who must be safely managed through detox services when seriously addicted to drugs and alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis so also requires mental health services as part of their treatment process. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehab solutions in terms of intensity of care, because the individual can preserve their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of needing to be in a rehab program while undergoing rehabilitation services. While this may seem ideal it will not provide the much needed change of surroundings than lots of people in treatment require to have a productive rehab.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who have a problem with drug abuse could possibly have unique challenges they have to overcome while in rehabilitation, which rehab specialists in the program they choose to be a part of must be keen of in order that a complete recovery may be possible. So for seniors and older adults, it is prudent to pick a center that is accustomed to helping seniors and older adults tackle the unique life and drug abuse problems that these clients face which can include a broader spectrum of solutions including medical care and so on.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug abuse due to the challenges that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this problem is often difficult among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL and other assistance services readily available for them when substance abuse rehab is necessary. Besides ASL, such services may include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials so that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the support they require in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance won't pay for the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may seem like a disadvantage but people actually have a great deal of leverage because they can choose whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many individuals face. Likewise, treatment facilities will usually provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at alcohol and drug rehab centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must aid in setting up the individual's rehabilitation strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans generally cover some kind of drug and alcohol treatment service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities. Individuals may have to take part in a drug rehab program which is within their network of providers and there might be other restrictions including the length of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can select an excellent center they prefer and meet with a treatment specialist to ascertain if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expense of certain drug abuse treatment services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers as well as partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some limitations regarding how much time a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehab is allowed, and every one of these questions can be answered prior to starting treatment so that it is clear how long and individual can stay in the rehab facility of preference.
