Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anybody that should be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily addicted to alcohol and drugs, or who needs a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis so also needs mental health services as part of their rehabilitation procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and substance abuse as a result of challenges their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is required. Aside from ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired folks are getting the support they require in drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of rehab or will only cover some of it. In these cases, it may appear like a drawback but individuals really have a great deal of leverage because they can decide on whichever program they would like without the limitations from health insurers that so many men and women encounter. Likewise, treatment programs will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation programs accept Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present another kind of private health care insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term rehab inside a limited amount of facilities, and in such cases individuals may choose to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation facility which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehabilitation facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at alcohol and drug treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in setting up the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug rehab if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. When someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may qualify for state insurance, they can check with their Social Services office within their area to ascertain if they are and then fill out an application. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but typically only in the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some sort of drug and alcohol treatment service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug treatment facilities. Individuals could possibly have to participate in an alcohol and drug rehab program which is inside their network of providers and there could be other limitations including the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick a good program they prefer and meet with a treatment specialist to ascertain if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the price of particular drug abuse rehab services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient centers as well as partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions as to how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered prior to starting treatment so that it is clear how much time and individual can stay in the rehab center of choice.
