Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone that should be safely managed through detoxification services when seriously dependent to drugs and/or alcohol, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services during their treatment procedure. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and substance abuse due to challenges that their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL along with other assistance services available for them when drug abuse rehab is needed. Besides ASL, such services can include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are getting the support they require in drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a disadvantage but people actually have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever facility they would like without the limitations from health insurers that so many individuals face. In addition, rehabilitation centers will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Certain treatment programs will take Medicaid when the individual cannot self pay or present another form of private health care insurance. Medicaid may possibly pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of facilities, and in cases like this individuals might want to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they're able to to cover a more quality rehab program which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help out with establishing the individual's rehab strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment are not a choice. When someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might qualify for state insurance, they should seek advice from their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but usually only within the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some kind of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab centers. Individuals might have to participate in a drug rehabilitation center that is inside their network of providers and there can be other restrictions such as the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can select an excellent program they prefer and meet with a rehabilitation counselor to determine if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of particular drug abuse rehabilitation services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient programs along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some restrictions concerning just how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug rehab is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered before you start treatment so that it is clear how much time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation center of preference.
