You will find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse as a result of problems that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this problem can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL and also other assistance services designed for them when substance abuse rehab is necessary. Besides ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the support they need in drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but people actually have a great deal of leverage simply because they can select whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, treatment centers will frequently offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in establishing the individual's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being exactly like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some type of alcohol and drug treatment service including outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers. Individuals could have to participate in a drug treatment center that is inside their network of providers and there may be other limitations such as the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent program they prefer and meet with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain substance abuse rehab services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient facilities along with partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some restrictions as to how long a stay in inpatient alcohol and drug treatment is allowed, and every one of these questions can be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it is clear how long and individual can remain in the treatment facility of choice.
