Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of treatment services in terms of intensity of care, since the individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in lots of ways with no commitment of having to remain in a treatment center while receiving treatment services. While this may appear ideal it might not provide the much needed change of atmosphere than many individuals in rehab need to have a successful rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and substance abuse due to the problems that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the issue can be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL and other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehabilitation is required. Other than ASL, such services might include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired folks are receiving the support they need in alcohol and drug treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when a person's insurance won't cover the total cost of rehab or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a drawback but people in fact have a great deal of leverage because they can decide on whichever facility they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many people encounter. In addition, rehabilitation programs will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain rehab centers will take Medicaid if the individual is not able to self pay or present some other type of private health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term treatment in a limited amount of programs, and in this case individuals might want to explore the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality rehabilitation program which will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help out with establishing the person's treatment strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a possibility. If a person doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could qualify for state insurance, they can talk with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but generally only in the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans typically cover some type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug treatment centers. Individuals might have to participate in a drug treatment facility that's within their network of providers and there might be other restrictions like the length of time their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent facility they like and meet with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain drug abuse rehab services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers along with partial hospitalization are covered by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There could be some restrictions concerning how long a stay in inpatient drug rehab is permitted, and every one of these questions will be answered prior to starting treatment so that it's clear the length of time and individual can stay in the rehabilitation program of choice.
