Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone that has to be safely managed through detox services when seriously dependent to drugs and alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services as part of their treatment process. You can find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who battle with substance abuse may have unique obstacles they must conquer when in rehabilitation, which treatment professionals within the rehab they elect to be a part of should be keen of so that a complete recovery is achievable. So for seniors and older adults, it is wise to choose a rehab that is familiar with helping seniors and older adults deal with the unique life and substance abuse issues that these clients face that might include a wider spectrum of solutions including health care and so on.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a drawback but people really have a much more leverage because they can decide on whichever facility they want without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many people face. In addition, rehab programs will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehab centers accept Medicaid when the individual cannot self pay or present some other type of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may choose to explore the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality rehab center which will get better results, like a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehabilitation at drug rehab centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help out with establishing the person's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. If someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they could be eligible for state insurance, they should talk with their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only in the state which offers the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private medical health insurance plans generally cover some type of drug rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. Individuals may have to take part in a drug rehab facility which is inside their network of providers and there can be other restrictions for example the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose a good center they prefer and consult with a rehab counselor to find out if their insurance will take care of it.
