Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of treatment solutions with regards to intensity of care, as the individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of needing to stay in a treatment facility while receiving rehabilitation services. Even if this may appear ideal it may not provide the much needed change of environment than a lot of people in treatment require to experience a successful rehabilitation.

Spanish

Not all drug treatment facilities have the staff or resources to focus on the demands of Spanish speaking clientele, but fortunately there are more and more centers that can do so because the necessity for Spanish services is higher than any other time. Therapy, study info and so on are now very often accessible in Spanish in both long and short terms facilities which provide inpatient or residential rehabilitation and outpatient Spanish rehab is also available around the country.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover some of it. In these cases, it may appear like a drawback but people in fact have a great deal of leverage because they can select whichever program they want without the restrictions from health insurers that so many people encounter. Likewise, rehabilitation facilities will often provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation centers will take Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present some other type of private medical insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals may want to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to pay for a more quality treatment program that will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug rehab program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at drug and alcohol treatment programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in setting up the person's rehab strategy. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other kinds of insurance or self payment are not a choice. If someone doesn't have private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they could be eligible for state insurance, they can check with their Social Services office in their area to figure out if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but generally only in the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab facilities. Individuals might have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehab center which is within their network of providers and there may be other restrictions such as the length of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent program they prefer and speak with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance covers it.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is a payment assistance option available from many different drug treatment facilities in an effort to help individuals pay for treatment where this might not have been possible originally. As an example, one client's fee for rehab could be different and someone else whose finances are better making them better able to spend the money for full expense of treatment. Registrars consider additional factors in addition to income including amount of dependents to determine the final cost and using the sliding scale.

Payment Assistance (Check With Facility For Details)

Many drug treatment centers offer payment assistance to help clients who may not have enough funds to self pay for rehabilitation or whose health insurance won't supply coverage or full coverage for his or her stay. As an example, Occasionally insurance only covers a short-term facility when in fact a long-term program will be the more appropriate selection. To determine what payment assistance may be available, such as a sliding fee scale, seek advice from the program for details.
