Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of treatment solutions in terms of intensity of care, as the individual is able to keep their lifestyle in lots of ways without the commitment of having to remain in a rehabilitation center while receiving treatment services. Even though this may seem perfect it may not provide the much needed change of surroundings than a lot of people in recovery have to have to experience a successful rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the entire cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a drawback but people really have a much more leverage because they can choose whichever center they want without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many men and women face. Likewise, treatment centers will often provide payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain rehabilitation centers will take Medicaid in the event the individual is not able to self pay or present any other kind of private medical health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of centers, and in this case individuals may wish to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to pay for a more quality rehabilitation center which will get better results, such as a long-term residential drug treatment facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at alcohol and drug treatment programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the program is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help in establishing the person's treatment strategy. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of alcohol and drug treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know if they may qualify for state insurance, they can consult their Social Services office within their area to determine if they are and then apply. The majority of state financed insurance will take care of both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but usually only within the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service which range from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to take part in a drug rehabilitation center that is inside their network of providers and there could be other limitations including just how long their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can select a good program they prefer and meet with a rehab specialist to find out if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of certain drug abuse rehabilitation services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs as well as partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can speak with their VA or Tricare consultant. There can be some limitations as to how much time a stay in inpatient drug treatment is permitted, and all of these questions can be answered before beginning rehab so that it's clear how long and individual can remain in the treatment program of preference.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is a payment assistance option made available from many different drug and alcohol rehab centers in an effort to help clients afford treatment where this might not have been doable originally. For instance, one client's price for treatment might be different and lower than another person whose financial situation is better which makes them better able to pay for the full cost of rehab. Registrars consider other factors aside from income including amount of dependents to ascertain the ultimate cost and using the sliding scale.
