Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services in terms of intensity of care, since the individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of having to stay in a rehabilitation center while receiving treatment services. Although this may seem perfect it will not provide the much needed change of atmosphere than a lot of people in rehabilitation have to have to experience a productive rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often prone to alcoholism and drug abuse due to problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of this problem can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL as well as other assistance services designed for them when substance abuse treatment is needed. Aside from ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the help they require in drug and alcohol rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance won't pay for the total cost of rehabilitation or will only cover some of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but people in fact have a much more leverage simply because they can choose whichever program they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many people face. Likewise, treatment facilities will usually provide payment assistance for people whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehab centers accept Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present any other type of private health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation in a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals might want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehab program which will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug and alcohol treatment centers which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in setting up the person's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug treatment if other kinds of insurance or self payment aren't an option. If someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then apply. Most state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but usually only in the state which offers the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug and alcohol rehab service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. Individuals might have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehab facility that is in their network of providers and there might be other limitations for example how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can select a good program they prefer and speak with a rehabilitation specialist to ascertain if their insurance will handle it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse treatment solutions. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers and also partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions regarding how long a stay in inpatient drug treatment is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered before you start treatment so that it is clear how long and individual can remain in the rehab center of choice.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance option available from a number of drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs to help help individuals pay for rehabilitation where this might not have been doable originally. By way of example, one client's price for treatment might be different and lower than another individual whose finances are better which makes them better able to spend the money for full cost of rehabilitation. Registrars take into consideration other factors in addition to income including amount of dependents to determine the ultimate cost using the sliding scale.
