Drug Addiction Facts

  • A study of current and former long-term heavy users of marijuana who had smoked marijuana at least once in their lives but not more than 50 times found that fewer of the heavy users completed college and more had yearly household incomes of less than $30,000.
  • Some inpatient rehab programs also offer detoxification services and others do not. In fact, some inpatient rehab facilities require patients to submit an urine screen before they register in the program.
  • According to a report written by the "Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality", inpatient treatment programs for addiction are designed to provide help to individuals who cannot manage their health alone.

Medicaid

Some rehab programs accept Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present some other form of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of programs, and in cases like this individuals may wish to investigate the self pay option and drum up any resources they are able to to pay for a more quality treatment center which will produce better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility.
