Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone who must be safely managed through detoxification services when heavily addicted to drugs, or who needs a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health services during their treatment procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services accessible.

Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the low end of the spectrum of treatment solutions with regards to level of care, since the individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of having to stay in a rehab facility while undergoing rehabilitation services. Even though this might seem perfect it may not provide the required change of surroundings than a lot of people in rehabilitation require to experience a productive rehabilitation.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug abuse as a result of challenges that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of the problem can be difficult among the hearing impaired, you'll find ASL and also other assistance services available for them when substance abuse rehab is required. Other than ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are obtaining the support they need in drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't cover the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but people actually have a much more leverage because they can choose whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals face. In addition, treatment programs will frequently provide payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some rehab programs will take Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present some other form of private health insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation within a limited amount of programs, and in this case individuals may want to investigate the self pay option and drum up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality rehab program which will produce better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehab center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive treatment at drug and alcohol treatment programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehab if the facility is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in setting up the person's rehab strategy. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being just like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid may be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment are not a choice. If someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might qualify for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will cover both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but typically only within the state which provides the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some type of alcohol and drug treatment service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities. Individuals may have to take part in an alcohol and drug treatment center that's inside their network of providers and there could be other restrictions including the amount of time their stay in treatment is covered. Individuals can choose a good facility they like and consult with a treatment specialist to find out if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance including VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of certain substance abuse rehab services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient centers along with partial hospitalization are all paid for by military insurance, although military members may require pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There may be some limitations as to the length of time a stay in inpatient drug rehab is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting treatment so that it is clear just how long and individual can remain in the treatment center of preference.
