Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone who must be safely managed through detoxification services when seriously dependent to alcohol and drugs, or who requires a better spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also needs mental health services during their rehabilitation procedure. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services available.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use due to the challenges their impairment impose on them. While detection of the problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL as well as other assistance services intended for them when substance abuse rehab is required. Besides ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening equipment and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are receiving the help they require in drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't cover the entire cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these instances, it may appear like a drawback but individuals actually have a much more leverage simply because they can select whichever center they want without the limitations from health insurers that so many people face. In addition, treatment facilities will frequently offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehab centers accept Medicaid if the individual cannot self pay or present any other type of private medical health insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of programs, and in such cases individuals might want to explore the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they can to fund a more quality treatment program which will produce better results, such as a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in setting up the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some form of drug treatment service including outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals might have to take part in a drug and alcohol treatment facility that is in their network of providers and there can be other limitations including just how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can select a good facility they like and consult with a rehabilitation specialist to find out if their insurance will take care of it.
