Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone who has to be safely managed through detoxification services when intensely dependent to drugs and alcohol, or who wants a broader spectrum of care such as somebody who is dealing with a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health solutions during their treatment process. There are both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug abuse due to challenges their impairment impose on them. While detection of this problem can be hard among the hearing impaired, you can find ASL along with other assistance services available for them when substance abuse treatment is necessary. Besides ASL, such services can sometimes include assistive listening equipment and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the support they need in alcohol and drug rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance won't cover the total cost of rehab or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may appear like a disadvantage but people in fact have a great deal of leverage simply because they can decide on whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurance providers that so many individuals face. Likewise, rehab centers will frequently provide payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicaid

Some treatment facilities will take Medicaid if the individual is unable to self pay or present some other type of private health care insurance. Medicaid may only cover outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of centers, and in this instance individuals may want to explore the self pay option and come up with up any resources they're able to to fund a more quality treatment center that will get better results, such as a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehabilitation at alcohol and drug treatment facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the facility is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help in setting up the person's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being the same as any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans typically cover some sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug rehabilitation programs. Individuals might have to participate in a drug treatment facility that is inside their network of providers and there could be other restrictions for example how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick a quality center they like and meet with a treatment counselor to ascertain if their insurance will cover it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the costs of certain drug abuse rehab solutions. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities and also partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization in which case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions as to the length of time a stay in inpatient drug treatment is permitted, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it's clear the length of time and individual can remain in the rehabilitation facility of preference.
