Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are available to anyone who needs to be safely managed through detox services when heavily dependent to drugs, or who needs a better spectrum of care such as someone who has a dual diagnosis and also requires mental health solutions as part of their rehabilitation process. You'll find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the low end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services with regards to intensity of care, as the individual is able to keep their lifestyle in many ways without the commitment of needing to stay in a rehabilitation center while undergoing rehab services. While this may appear perfect it will not provide the much needed change of environment than lots of people in rehab need to experience a productive rehab.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when a person's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of rehabilitation or will only cover part of it. In these instances, it may seem like a disadvantage but people in fact have a much more leverage because they can choose whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurers that so many individuals face. In addition, treatment programs will usually offer payment assistance for individuals whose only option is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment if the center is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the consent of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must aid in establishing the person's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some form of drug rehab service which range from outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment centers. Individuals could have to take part in an alcohol and drug rehab facility which is in their network of providers and there may be other restrictions such as how long their stay in rehab is covered. Individuals can pick a quality facility they like and meet with a treatment specialist to ascertain if their insurance will take care of it.
