Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the lower end of the spectrum of treatment services in terms of level of care, because the individual is able to maintain their lifestyle in lots of ways with no commitment of having to stay in a rehabilitation center while receiving treatment services. Even if this may seem perfect it will not provide the much needed change of environment than a lot of people in recovery need to experience a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be prone to alcoholism and drug abuse due to the problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of the issue can sometimes be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL and other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse rehab is needed. Other than ASL, such services might include assistive listening tools and captioned video materials to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired individuals are obtaining the help they require in drug and alcohol treatment.

Spanish

Not all drug rehab facilities have the staff or wherewithal to cater to the requirements of Spanish speaking clients, but thankfully there are more and more facilities that can do so because the necessity for Spanish services is higher than ever before. Counselling, study information and the like are now very often accessible in Spanish in both long and short terms centers which provide inpatient or residential treatment and outpatient Spanish rehabilitation is also available around the country.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of rehab or will only pay for part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but people in fact have a great deal of leverage simply because they can choose whichever program they would like without the limitations from health insurers that so many individuals encounter. In addition, treatment centers will frequently offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Some rehabilitation centers accept Medicaid when the individual is unable to self pay or present any other form of private medical health insurance. Medicaid may only pay for outpatient and short-term rehabilitation inside a limited amount of centers, and in this instance individuals may choose to investigate the self pay alternative and drum up any resources they are able to to fund a more quality rehabilitation center that will produce better results, like a long-term residential drug rehab facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek treatment at drug rehab programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation if the center is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the authorization of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must assist in setting up the person's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are provided through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being paid for through Medicare Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of alcohol and drug rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not an option. If someone has no private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they may be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office within their area to figure out if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but generally only within the state which offers the insurance plan.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private health insurance plans generally cover some kind of alcohol and drug rehabilitation service including outpatient rehab to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab programs. Individuals may have to take part in a drug rehabilitation center that's within their network of providers and there may be other restrictions such as just how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent program they prefer and speak with a rehabilitation counselor to find out if their insurance covers it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance such as VA and Tricare does cover the price of certain drug abuse treatment services. Detox services, outpatient and inpatient programs and also partial hospitalization are all covered by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare representative. There could be some limitations as to just how long a stay in inpatient drug rehab is permitted, and every one of these questions can be answered prior to starting rehabilitation so that it's clear how much time and individual can stay in the rehab facility of preference.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale is a payment assistance option made available from a number of alcohol and drug treatment programs in order to help individuals afford rehabilitation where this might not have been possible initially. For instance, one client's fee for rehabilitation could be different and someone else whose financial situation is better making them better able to pay for the full expense of rehab. Registrars consider variables aside from income including amount of dependents to determine the final cost using the sliding scale.
