Outpatient

Outpatient services are on the bottom end of the spectrum of rehabilitation services regarding intensity of care, because the individual will be able to preserve their lifestyle in several ways without the commitment of having to remain in a rehabilitation center while receiving rehabilitation services. Although this might appear ideal it may not provide the much needed change of environment than lots of people in treatment need to experience a successful rehab.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired can often be predisposed to alcoholism and drug and alcohol use due to the problems that their impairment impose on them. While discovery of this problem can sometimes be hard among the hearing impaired, you'll find ASL and also other assistance services intended for them when drug abuse treatment is necessary. Aside from ASL, such services can include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources to ensure that deaf and hearing impaired people are obtaining the help they need in drug and alcohol treatment.

Self Payment

Self Payment is needed when someone's insurance isn't going to pay for the total cost of treatment or will only pay for some of it. In these instances, it may seem like a drawback but individuals in fact have a great deal of leverage simply because they can decide on whichever program they want without the limitations from health insurance providers that so many people face. Likewise, rehabilitation programs will frequently provide payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to enable them to get into rehab.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers accept Medicaid when the individual is unable to self pay or present another form of private health care insurance. Medicaid might cover outpatient and short-term treatment within a limited amount of centers, and in such cases individuals may wish to investigate the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they can to cover a more quality rehab program that will get better results, say for example a long-term residential drug rehabilitation facility.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at drug treatment facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehab when the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed doctor, who must help out with establishing the individual's rehab plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with out of pocket costs being similar to any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient rehabilitation being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the expense of drug and alcohol treatment if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a possibility. If someone doesn't have any private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might be eligible for state insurance, they can check with their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, but generally only inside the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans generally cover some type of alcohol and drug treatment service including outpatient treatment to inpatient or residential drug rehabilitation facilities. Individuals may have to participate in a drug rehab center that is within their network of providers and there could be other restrictions such as the amount of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can pick an excellent facility they prefer and speak with a treatment counselor to find out if their insurance covers it.

Sliding Fee Scale

A sliding fee scale can be a payment assistance possibility made available from a number of alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers to help help clients afford rehabilitation where this may not have been doable originally. As an example, one client's price for treatment could be different and lower than somebody else whose financial situation is better making them better able to pay for the full price of treatment. Registrars take into account additional factors apart from income including amount of dependents to ascertain the final cost using the sliding scale.
