Outpatient

Outpatient solutions are on the lower end of the spectrum of rehabilitation solutions regarding intensity of care, because the individual will be able to keep their lifestyle in several ways with no commitment of needing to stay in a rehabilitation facility while receiving rehabilitation services. While this may seem perfect it may not provide the required change of atmosphere than many individuals in treatment require to experience a successful rehabilitation.

Seniors/Older Adults

Seniors and older adults who battle with drug abuse could possibly have unique challenges they must conquer when in rehabilitation, which treatment professionals within the center they decide to be a part of have to be keen of in order that a full recovery is achievable. So for seniors and older adults, it is prudent to decide on a program which is familiar with helping seniors and older adults tackle the distinctive life and substance abuse problems that these clients face which can include a wider spectrum of solutions including medical care and so on.

Self Payment

Self Payment is required when someone's insurance isn't going to cover the entire cost of treatment or will only cover part of it. In these cases, it may seem like a drawback but people in fact have a much more leverage simply because they can decide on whichever program they would like without the limitations from health insurers that so many people face. Likewise, rehab facilities will often offer payment assistance for people whose only choice is self payment to help them get into rehabilitation.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can receive rehab at alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs which provide either inpatient or outpatient treatment when the program is included in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must assist in setting up the person's rehabilitation plan. Inpatient services are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being just like any other type of hospital stay, and outpatient treatment being covered through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehabilitation if other forms of insurance or self payment aren't a choice. If someone does not have any private insurance and doesn't yet know if they might be eligible for state insurance, they can check with their Social Services office in their area to determine if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance will handle both outpatient and inpatient rehab, but generally only in the state which provides the insurance coverage.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which program you are covered by, all private medical insurance plans typically cover some type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service ranging from outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers. Individuals may have to participate in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that is in their network of providers and there can be other limitations for example the amount of time their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose an excellent center they like and meet with a treatment specialist to ascertain if their insurance will handle it.
