Hospital Inpatient

Hospital inpatient services are accessible to anyone that must be safely managed through detox services when heavily dependent to drugs, or who requires a better spectrum of care such as somebody who has a dual diagnosis so also needs mental health services as part of their treatment process. You'll find both short-term and long-term hospital inpatient services offered.

ASL or Other Assistance for Hearing Impaired

The hearing impaired are often predisposed to alcoholism and substance abuse as a result of problems that their impairment impose on them. While detection of this issue can often be difficult among the hearing impaired, you will find ASL along with other assistance services available for them when drug abuse rehab is required. Besides ASL, such services may include assistive listening tools and captioned video resources so that deaf and hearing impaired people are getting the help they require in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Self Payment

Self Payment is necessary when someone's insurance won't cover the total cost of rehab or will only cover part of it. In these situations, it may appear like a disadvantage but people really have a much more leverage because they can decide on whichever center they would like without the restrictions from health insurance companies that so many individuals encounter. In addition, rehabilitation centers will often offer payment assistance for individuals whose only choice is self payment to help them get into treatment.

Medicaid

Certain treatment centers will take Medicaid when the individual is not able to self pay or present some other form of private health care insurance. Medicaid might pay for outpatient and short-term rehab within a limited amount of programs, and in cases like this individuals may choose to investigate the self pay alternative and come up with up any resources they are able to to cover a more quality rehab center which will get better results, say for example a long-term residential alcohol and drug rehab program.

Medicare

Medicare recipients can seek rehab at alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which deliver either inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation when the program is in the network of Medicare-participating providers and with the approval of their Medicare appointed physician, who must help out with setting up the person's treatment plan. Inpatient solutions are covered through Medicare Part A, with up front costs being exactly like any other kind of hospital stay, and outpatient rehab being paid for through Medicare Part B.

State Financed Insurance (Other Than Medicaid)

State financed insurance other than Medicaid can be used to cover the costs of drug and alcohol rehab if other forms of insurance or self payment are not a choice. If a person has no private insurance and doesn't yet know whether they might be eligible for state insurance, they should check with their Social Services office in their area to ascertain if they are and then fill out an application. The majority of state financed insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient treatment, but generally only within the state which provides the insurance.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on which plan you are covered by, all private health care insurance plans typically cover some type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation service including outpatient rehabilitation to inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehab programs. Individuals could have to participate in a drug rehabilitation center which is inside their network of providers and there could be other limitations for example how long their stay in rehabilitation is covered. Individuals can choose a good center they prefer and consult with a treatment counselor to determine if their insurance will take care of it.

Military Insurance (E.G., Va, Tricare)

Military insurance which includes VA and Tricare does cover the expenses of particular drug abuse treatment services. Detoxification services, outpatient and inpatient facilities and also partial hospitalization are paid for by military insurance, although military members may need pre-authorization and in that case they can liaise with their VA or Tricare consultant. There may be some restrictions as to how long a stay in inpatient drug and alcohol rehab is allowed, and all of these questions will be answered prior to starting treatment so that it's clear just how long and individual can stay in the treatment program of preference.
